Communities across America are organizing themselves and pushing for a more sustainable existence. This is our simple goal that has been met with resistance, but there are many who share our desires. The biggest objections to allowing individuals to raise hens are caused by a perception not rooted with facts.
The initial design of this site was very simplistic and unprofessional. It mirrored the false perceptions of those who object to raising hens. Dale Chapman, a professional web designer from Washington, volunteered his time and skill to give CaryChickens.com an image more befitting the cause. Hens can be beautiful, elegant, playful, clean and fun. Just like any pet, they are reflection of their owners.
